Every electrical system has a unique “Incident Energy” profile. We calculate these values to determine the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for any task.

  • Industrial: Hazard Mitigation & Coordination: In manufacturing plants with high-voltage machinery, the risk of a high-energy arc flash is greatest. We perform short-circuit and coordination studies to ensure that overcurrent protective devices (OCPDs) trip in the correct sequence. By fine-tuning these settings, we can often reduce the Incident Energy Level at a specific panel from a dangerous “Category 4” to a much safer level, protecting your maintenance team and reducing equipment damage.
  • Commercial: Compliance & Facility Labeling: Commercial office buildings, hospitals, and data centers are required by law to have accurate, up-to-date Arc Flash labeling. We perform on-site data collection of every transformer, panelboard, and disconnect. We then generate and apply durable, UV-resistant labels that clearly display the Flash Protection Boundary, Incident Energy, and Required PPE Category. This ensures that any outside contractor or staff member is immediately aware of the hazards before they open a cabinet.
  • Residential: Multi-Family & High-Rise Safety: For large-scale residential developments and high-rise apartments, the main electrical service entrance and distribution rooms pose significant risks.
